TAMING THE TIGER

More information on Taming the Tiger (Mass Market Edition)

Tony Anthony's life story is an amazing testament to how God can change people's lives. Tony was a Kung Fo champion, he lived in a world that was violent and unforgiving. He had a difficult and harsh unbringing and was involved in a world of crime and violence. He ended up in prison and it was there that he committed his life to God. He now is a full time evangelist and has an amazing story to tell of God's love, His forgiveness and His healing power. This book is perfect to challenge teenager boys and young men but it is such an amazing story I would encourage everyone to read it. There is a children's version available called 'The Cry of the Tiger'.

LIVING CHURCH

More information on The living church

The Living Church is a challenging book which looks at the direction the Church should be heading in for the 21st century. It discusses how to remain relevent to modern day society whilst still keeping strong Biblical roots. John Stott is an excellent communicator who is thought provoking and yet still easy to read. It is a very practical book looking at every area of the Church and what God's vision for His Church is. Every Church should be learning, caring, worshipping and evangelizing. The book is a must read for anyone involved in church leadership, cell group leaders, children and youth workers, pastoral workers and worship leaders. Prepare to be challenged and motivated!

TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY

More information on Too busy not to pray - 20th anniversary edition

This book is for everyone who finds it difficult making time to pray. It encourages you to look at your priorities, if you are really busy with too much to do and so little time how do you expect to cope with it all without God's help? The subtitle is 'slowing down to be with God' which is something we all need to do. The frantic pace of life is getting faster and I know that can't keep speeding up! This is a very practical book with excellent advice about getting your prayer life on the right track. It is essential reading for all Christians.

REDEEMING LOVE

More information on Redeeming Love

I'm sorry chaps this is a ladies book! It is the best piece of Christian fiction I have ever read. The book is based on the book of Hosea. It is a very moving story of a young girl trapped in prostitution. I did cry buckets and was constantly moved by the words in bold type which demonstrate God's overwhelming, all encompassing love. Francine Rivers has written many excellent books and is always very Biblically sound (with the exception on 'The Last Sin Eater' which I would avoid!) This book speaks of God's love for us, a love which we do not deserve. This is a book to read and recommend to all your friends. Everyone I have recommended it to has really enjoyed it!

OUT OF THE BLACK SHADOWS

More information on Out of the Black Shadows New edition

This is the amazing story of Stephen Lungu. Stephen was a memeber of a gang called the Black Shadows. He went into a Christian meeting with a bomb in his pocket and the intention to use it. Then a young women got up to speak at the front and shared about how knowing God in her life had made a such a difference to her. She spoke of a love that Stephen had never heard of, let alone experienced. Her words moved him to tears and he decided to find out more about this God she spoke of. Stephen's life changes and it becomes clear to him that God has a plan for his life, a plan he never could have imagined. There is a wonderful story about answered prayer near the end which encouraged me to continue praying for people even when all seems lost.
